Workshop Description:This is appropriate for professionals and serious amateurs wanting to improve their audition technique and ability to perform under pressure. It would also suit those preparing for conservatoire and performance course auditions. We know that mixing ages and levels like this can really inspire whilst also giving each participant what they need to focus on, and improve, their own craft. It is a day-long workshop to explore some key aspects to help you overcome your performance fears, perform your audition repertoire in front of the workshop group and staff, receive instant feedback, reflect as a group, then perform the material again having implemented the feedback.
To ensure each participant receives individual attention, numbers are capped at 20 participants for the day.
Participants can either perform a monologue or a song lasting a maximum of 3 minutes, and will need to inform the Apothecary of Arts of the chosen material in advance of the workshop day (details will be sent upon booking).

We are grateful to Rocket Theatre Group for allowing us to hire their unique venue.
Please be aware there is a step at the front door, a flight of steps to the studios, and no lift in the building.
Rocket Theatre is based in the grounds of Carlisle Castle. There is no parking on-site (apart from blue badge parking), however, there are plenty of car parks nearby. There is a mainline train into Carlisle, and several bus routes. Please email us if you need advice.

Tea, coffee and water is provided on the day but please bring your own lunch - there is an in-house area with tales and chairs (the Green Room) that you can relax in whilst you eat your food - or you could venture to one of the nearby cafés!
